Have you had enough of it all – the focus we give to ‘time’? Does it seem like everywhere you turn, someone is addressing our use of it? Is it being wasted or is it being maximized? Feeling pressured to do more – or to do less – seems to be an ever-present challenge.
Time is just one of those things we know is there, we know we can’t get it back, don’t want to squander it but often do. We say we don’t have enough of it, we spend it, and then it’s gone. Some of us can’t sit still long enough to read a sentence let alone take time to think. There are those of us who need to be doing something/multi-tasking, every second we’re awake. Does that automatically ensure we’re making the most of it? It’s a walk on the tight rope that seems to never end!
Today is my daughter’s 15th birthday. Where did the time go? Wow does time fly! Savour every moment, they grow up so fast (we’ve all heard it, we’ve all said it)! Our lives revolve around time, sweet time. Right?
Here are a few quotes to enjoy while you pass…the…time.
Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway. ~Earl Nightingal
If you judge people, you have no time to love them. ~Mother Teresa
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. ~William Penn
You will never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it. ~Charles Buxton
The best use of life is love. The best expression of love is time. The best time to love is now. ~Rick Warren

I remember hearing a 80 year old lady a few years ago talk about why she went to University when she was in her late 70’s. Her response was “I would be this age if I went to school or not, may as well do something with my time than just sit and wait to die”. How true! I try to look on everyday as 24 hours that I can do something and try not waste it.

Thanks for sharing that Mike! I love the attitude – may we ALL reflect on it and remind ourselves that it is never too late to try something new, but also that passing the time doesn’t have to be just sitting and waiting for that final moment. Brilliant.
